Introduction

The Manitoba Section of the The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) is a local branch of the national CSCE organization.  We operate under the guidelines and mandates of the national organization, and are one of 25 local area sections across Canada.

The CSCE national organization was founded in 1887 as a professional society for civil engineers. The head office is located in Montreal:

The CSCE is a learned society intended to develop and maintain high standards of civil engineering practice in Canada and to enhance the public image of the civil engineering profession.

Mission

The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering promotes the development, acquisition and exchange of professional knowledge in the field of Civil Engineering. Supportive of the work of academics and private institutions and different organizations that deal with Civil Engineering since 1887 and working with sister organizations, the CSCE also promotes Civil Engineering among the general public and governmental institutions in Canada and abroad.
